"A voluntarist policy against the weakness of our resources"Our energy supply depends on oil producing countries, the prices of conventional energies (oil & gas) is increasing drastically, and they contribute to Greenhouse gas emissions ; all this leads engineering companies to establish innovative answers to answer to the growing needs of the clients.
The public debate is concentrated on electricity production from renewables (biomass, hydro-electric, photovoltaic, wind) and on biofuels. Paradoxically, heat production from renewables is rarely mentioned ; it is nevertheless a major energy stake since energy consumption of buildings represents 36% of final energy consumption in France, before needs of industrial processes or transport sector (Source: Bilan de l’énergie 2003, Ministry of Industry). It is also responsible for circa 20 % of GHG emissions, and the objective is to divide them by 4 for 2050.
